Dear Parents,
On May 13th and 14th, fourth grade will be attending a field trip to the South Florida Museum and Desoto National Memorial Park in Bradenton, FL. This trip directly correlates with curriculum taught in both Science and Florida History. The cost per person is $24 —student or adult. Everyone attending will need to plan to bring a lunch from home or purchase a bag lunch from school.
All chaperones must be an approved volunteer for the Highlands County School Board. If you would like to be a chaperone and have not become an approved volunteer, please ask you child’s homeroom teacher for an application or pick one up from the front office. The number of chaperones that we can take is limited, however we do need a minimum of two per class, so to reserve your seat it is first come, first paid. Our chaperones are allowed to purchase a lunch from the school if needed.
An informational letter will be sent home closer to the trip regarding what students are allowed to bring on the bus. We are looking forward to having a great trip! Please sign the attached permission slip and return with $24 by Friday, May 2nd.

Tuesday, May 13th
Ibrahim, Lethbridge, Haynes, Cannady
(Availability for 6 chaperones per classroom)
Wednesday, May 14th
Belanger, Santiago, Hogue
(Availability for 8 chaperones per classroom)

Payment options, chaperones, refunds, etc.
Payment
We are offering several payment options to try and help accommodate all families. The following plans have accommodated people in the past, but we can certinly work with you!
□ I am paying in full at this time.
□ I am paying in installments. I will send in ______ a week, equaling $24.00, up until Friday, May 2nd. I understand that the entire amount is due on that day.
□ I am paying two payments of $12.00. The first payment is due when the signed permission slip is returned. The second payment is due by Friday, May 2nd.
Chaperones
Two chaperones per class are needed. We can have between 6 and 8 total chaperones. A limited number of chaperone seats are available, so please plan early if you would like to join us! The fee for chaperones are the same as students, $24.

No refunds will be given after Friday, May 2nd for any reason.
